AR liveblogs ed funding debate

Marc Comtois over at Anchor Rising liveblogged the RI House debate on the education section of the state budget last night, and it's well worth a look.

Of note is our Portsmouth Rep. Amy Rice's offered amendment to hold Mayoral Academies to the same standards as other charter schools (It failed). Whether you are for or against, the debate makes for interesting reading. Thanks, Marc.

Also of note

Rep Loughlin who, represents Portsmouth also, according to the account contained in your link, had an idea to help Portsmouth schools save money (it also failed) How did Rep Rice vote on that one?

Not certain

Hi, Todd...
It's hard to find information on floor votes on amendments on the legislature. I had to ask a source who was there that day, and they thought that she had voted in favor. But I only have that from one source, who was not absolutely sure.

Best Regards.
