hard deadlines

Not often that I laugh out loud at a Republican Web site, but you have to check out John McCain's pathetic effort to create astroturf (i.e., fake grassroots support). On the "Spread the Word" page of his campaign site, you can read today's talking points, and receive credit for posting your mindless dittohead regurgitation to a variety of conservative blogs (including, hey, Rhode Island's own Anchor Rising.)

Unsurprisingly, the list of "Liberal" blogs is pretty short. And no, hard deadlines is not included, so no credit for you, dear readers, no matter what you say in support of Bush's Third Term.

Uh, a word in your ear, Senator? The whole point of astroturf is to make it look authentic.

Clueless.
